Education Ministry has contracted companies to build classrooms in three islands.
Education Ministry’s finance executive Naushad Ibrahim signed the agreements at the ministry on Thursday.
Swift Engineering has been given 365 days to build 16 classrooms in a four-floor building in ADh. Mahibadhoo for MVR 11 million. The agreement was signed by Swift Engineering’s Dr. Mohamed Zubair.
Wee Hour Investment has been given 360 days to build 12 classrooms in a three-floor building in AA. Thoddoo for MVR 7 million. The agreement was signed by Wee Hour Investment’s office manager Fathimath Laisha Afsal Saeed.
Q1 Maldives has been given 365 days to build 12 classrooms in a three-floor building in HDh Vaikaradhoo for MVR 8 million. The agreement was signed by Q1 Maldives’ general manager Afsal Saeed.
Education Ministry stated that the classrooms will be built in August 2020 and that the projects are under public sector investment programme (PSIP), which consists of a budget of MVR 246 million for 2019.
