President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed a Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs.
Appointed was Hussain Shareef, native to Thinadhoo in Gaaf Dhaal atoll, and the appointment was made on Wednesday.
Deputy Minister Shareef previously held positions in the private sector over the last two decades.
He served at managerial-level position at several institutes.
Shareef has a Bachelor’s Degree in Shariah and Law attained from Villa College.
The post of Deputy Minister was previously held by Shafiu Ali, who has worked in the education sector for many years.
