Journalists from the United States have been invited to Maldives to market the country’s tourism sector.

These visits are a part of a series of media familiarization trips organized by Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) to increase media awareness and increase exposure to Maldives.

MMPRC has invited journalists from the New York Times, National Geographic – Travel, and US Today to promote the Maldives as an affordable and relaxing destination.

MMPRC stated that they have invited world renowned travel writers, who will be staying in Maldives from August 13 to 18. The group is staying at Heritance Aarah Resort and Mercure Maldives Kooddoo Resort.

During their trip, they will get first-hand experience of the beauty of Maldives through planned activities such as snorkeling and diving excursions. They will also partake in the many wellness options offered in Maldives such as yoga and spa facilities.

Following the trips, the groups will share their experiences as in-depth stories and articles including sharing of images and videos on their respective publications.
