A special 'Independence Day Reception 2019' is to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Monday night in commemoration of Maldives 54th anniversary of independence.

Maldives embassy in Malaysia revealed this via twitter on Sunday. The reception will be held at the Mayang Sari Grand Ballroom, JW Marriott in Kuala Lumpur from 7pm to 9:30pm.

Several local artists are set to make an appearance in the reception, including music legend Ahmed ‘Fasy’ Faseeh as well as stars that shone in Maldivian Idol, Mariyam ‘Raalhu Mariyambu’ Maeesha and Shamveel Mohamed.

This is one of the many activities that are being held to celebrate Maldives 54th Independence Day.

A music show was held on Saturday night in capital city Malé where various local musicians performed. The music show is to be held on Sunday night as well.
