Newly appointed Ambassadors from the Republic of Sudan and Lao People's Democratic Republic have presented their credentials to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
During respective courtesy calls at the President’s Office on Thursday morning, Solih received letters of credence from Sudanese Ambassador Ahmed Yousif Mohamed Elsiddig and Laos Ambassador Bounneme Chouanghom who discussed bilateral relations their respective countries have with the Maldives.
Both Ambassador-designates recapped the many efforts of cooperation their respective government had in mutual areas of benefit with the government of Maldives, both in the international fora and bilaterally.

They added that their respective government will do their “utmost” to ensure the friendly relations shared with the Maldives continue to flourish during their tenure.
During the respective meetings, President Solih wished them success in fulfilling their duties and expressed his keenness for constructively engagement throughout their tenure.
