President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed a Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Economic Development.
Appointed was Ahmed Mujahidh native to Dhaandhoo, Gaaf Alif atoll.
While he was appointed on Thursday, he is a graduate of Malaysia’s Open University.
Having attained a Master’s in Education, some of Mujahidh’s previous posts include principal at Imaduddin School.
Prior to that, he was a lead teacher and deputy principal at Iskandhar School.
Mujahidh also filled the post of a lecturer at the Maldives National University (MNU).
Further, he was also a TV presenter, having presented several shows on state media station, Television Maldives.
With his appointment, the number of Deputy Ministers at the ministry reaches five, including company registrar Mariyam Visam.
