Upon the conclusion of his visit to Thinadhoo island in Gaaf Dhaal atoll to attend the third session of “Jazeera Holhuashi”, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has arrived back in capital city Malé.
While the third session of “Jazeera Holhuashi” was held on Saturday, the theme revolved around development of the fishing community in the island.
The first two sessions were held in the capital, making this session the first ever to be held outside of the Greater Malé Region.
During his trip, Solih met with the island councilors as well as senior officials at some of the government institutions on the island.
Before concluding his visit on Saturday afternoon, Solih toured the island’s powerhouse, waste management center as well as the MIFCO ice plant where he met with employees and inquired on the situation of the establishments.
Solih was accompanied by Vice President Faisal Naseem, Fisheries Minister Zaha Waheed and STO Managing Director Hussain Amru Rasheed along with several other senior officials at the President’s Office.
