Maldives Customs Service statistics show that they have received MVR 266 million from import duties and fees in June.
This is an increase compared to the MVR 235 received in the same month in 2018.

In June 2019, MVR 3.3 billion worth of goods were imported, which is a decrease compared to the MVR 3.5 billion worth of goods imported in June last year.
The highest import duties were from China at 19%, UAE at 19%, Singapore at 13%, India at 9% and Sri Lanka at 6%.
The highest export duties were from Germany at 42%, France at 11%, UAE at 11%, United States at 8% and Costa Rica.
