Justice Abdulla Didi will return to Maldives before Friday, says his attorney Adam Shameem.
The suspended Supreme Court Justice left on a personal trip on June 28 while Judicial Service Commission (JSC) continues with the investigation.
JSC allowed him a leave of 15 days.
Speaking to RajjeMV, attorney Shameem did not disclose an exact date but that he will return "before Friday."
Didi is under investigation, at both the JSC and Maldives Police Service, for using his position to influence criminal proceedings.
JSC’s investigative meeting with him was held in public. At the meeting, all allegations against Didi were read out, including helping to release suspects in journalist Ahmed Rilwan’s abduction case. He is to have worked closely with police’s top suspect in the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) corruption case.
