Renowned Maldivian traditional medicine legend, Hussain 'Yoosufbe' Yoosuf has passed away.

Native to Kendhoo island of Baa atoll, Yoosuf had won several national awards in his days. Some of the awards include the awards of honor and encouragement.

Yoosuf was renowned for his skills in creating Maldivian medicine for arthritis, with several locals having travelled to consult with him over the years.

While he died at 86, Yoosuf is survived by seven children including the former chief justice at the Criminal Court Abdul Baaree Yoosuf.
