A man has been arrested and remanded in capital city Malé, for domestic violence.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they had received the report of domestic violence on Saturday.

When they arrived at the scene, the woman had attained several injuries to her head and arms for which she was rushed to the hospital for treatment immediately.

Police further revealed that the man has been remanded by 10 days.
