Sri Lankan MP, Namal Rajapaksa has expressed happiness over the "warmth and hospitality" extended by the Maldivian people, during his visit to the country.
Taking via twitter before departing from Maldives on Tuesday night, he said that this had been "a very productive and a well thought out visit in the Maldives."

While Rajapaksa arrived on his two-day visit on Monday morning, he had met with a number of government officials, Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, media, as well as the ruling coalition leaders.
The politician had at these meetings, reiterated the strong commitment Sri Lanka has had towards maintaining relations with Maldives. As such, he stated that both countries continue to be pivotal in securing peace in the region as well as maintaining economic stability, among many others.
