Goalkeeper Imran signs with TC Sports, Faisal transfers to Da Grande
The football season will commence next month

Former national team goalkeeper, Mohamed “Imma” Imran has signed with TC Sports Club for the upcoming football season, while current keeper Mohamed Faisal signed with Da Grande Amigos New Generation Football Club.

Imma was seen with New Radiant Sports Club (NRSC) last season. While he has transferred to TC Sports Club, it will no longer be bringing in a keeper from Nepal.

RaajjeMV understands that TC’s deal with the Nepalese player fell through because he was unable to join the practices on time.

This will be the seventh club Imma has represented, in his over 17-year career.

Imran, who had been the first-choice goalkeeper since 2000, retired from international football last year.

While he signed with TC Sports Club, his successor in the national team, Faisal signed with Da Grande after negotiations with some other clubs.

Faisal had transferred to NRSC in 2017, from Club Valencia after the club failed to secure a sport in the Dhivehi Premier League.

Last October, Football Association of Maldives (FAM) decided against bringing in foreign goalkeepers for local tournaments, in order to provide more opportunities for local players.

The football season will commence next month.
