The Ministry of Arts, Culture and Heritage has announced the days in which Utheemu Palace will be open for public during Eid-Al-Fitr holidays.
The ministry via twitter on Tuesday revealed that the palace will be open from 09:15 am to 12:30 pm on the 2nd and 3rd day of upcoming month of Shawwal that follows Eid-Al-Fitr.
However, the ministry revealed that the palace will not be open to the public on the 4th and 5th day of Shawwal.
Further the ministry highlighted that the regular schedule will be followed from the 8th day onward. As such, the palace will be opened to the public every day except Friday from 08:15 am to 01:30 pm.
Utheemu Palace or locally known as “Utheemu Ganduvaru” is a wooden palace in which Sultan Mohamed Thakurufaanu lived in. It is one of the oldest, most well-preserved tourist attractions in the country.
