Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid has on Tuesday, departed to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to attend Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)'s Foreign Ministers meeting.
Taking to twitter shortly before his departure, FM Shahid wrote that he will be discussing a wide range of issues surfacing for the Islamic Ummah during this trip.
The Foreign Ministers meetings is to be held on 29 May, in preparation for the 14th OIC Summit which is to be held in Mecca on 31 May.
Since assuming office, FM Shahid is observed to be putting in immense efforts to rekindle and strengthen foreign relations with many countries.
Foreign Secretary Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed traveled to Saudi Arabia last week, where he participated in the Preparatory Senior Officials Meeting for the conference.
