MPs Siyam and Mauroof attend only one sitting in last session of parliament
 
While the parliament's last session commenced on February 7, and proceeded until April 29, 16 MPs had attended all sittings

The People’s Majlis’ attendance report for the last session of the 18th parliament shows MPs Ahmed Siyam and Ali Mauroof having the worst record.

According to the report, the two Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) representatives had only attended one sitting during the entire session.

While the MDA leader and Meedhoo constituency MP Siyam has the worst attendance record, he has been assigned to preside over the sitting where the 19th parliament will take oath of office.

Next to Siyam and Mauroof, second lowest attendance of the final session goes to Gemanafushi constituency MP Jameel Usman, Dhaandhoo constituency MP Ahmed Assad and Isdhoo constituency MP Ahmed Rasheed Ibrahim; they attended only five sitting.

While the parliament's last session commenced on February 7, and proceeded until April 29, 16 MPs had attended all sittings.

The newly elected MP’s will take the oath of office on May 28.
