Maldives Ambassador to the United States, Thilmeeza Hussain has handed her credentials to Sean P. Lawler, the chief protocol officer at the US Department of State.
She presented her credentials at a meeting on Wednesday.
Afterward, she paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Alice Wells, the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US Department of State for South and Central Asian Affairs.
Both parties “discussed on further enhancing bilateral relations between the Maldives and the United States,” said the Maldives Mission in New York.
