Over MVR 200,000 has been stolen during a break-in at the International Food Solutions office on Monday.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they received the break-in report at around 08:42 am on Monday.

Approximately MVR 234،923 had been stolen, police reports.

Further, police revealed that the locks of the office had been broken during the robbery.

MPS has taken on investigations into the case.

While theft reports are reportedly on the rise every Ramadan, police have urged the public to be cautious and take precautionary measures.
