Being physically active is an important part of children’s academic excellence, says Vice President Faisal Naseem.

VP Naseem said this during his speech at the closing ceremony of “Devondale Kids Football Fiesta”, an initiative of the Ministry of Education for children studying from grades four to five.

During his speech on Saturday, VP Naseem stated that physical education is an important element in complete education and went on to urge all parents and guardians to encourage their children to take part in such recreational activities and events.

Further, Naseem said that the government of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih highly prioritizes the inclusion of fitness and physical wellness within the education system.

In addition, the Vice President went on to shed light on the good qualities and etiquette that sports and recreation teaches children, as well as the social unity it brings among the people.
