A car and a motorcycle collided into each other in front of Central Perk in Hulhumale on Saturday afternoon.

Maldives Police Service revealed that they had received report of the accident close to 3pm on Saturday and that the man driving the car and the woman riding the motorcycle had attained several injuries.

While both were rushed to Hulhumale Hospital immediately, the man had sought treatment and been discharged shortly after.

Police revealed that although there had been no visible signs of injuries on the woman, she had been kept under observation for a few hours.

There had been multiple accidents reported across the capital city and from outlying atolls throughout the beginning of the year. Police said that the major cause for these accidents is because drivers and riders do not take the necessary precaution on the roads.
