Members of Fehendhoo council have on Wednesday briefed President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on the struggles of the island community and urgent requirements.
During a meeting held at the President’s Office on Wednesday afternoon, the councilors stressed on urgent needs and also briefed the President on the council’s development plans for the economic progress of the community.
Emphasizing on the need to bring a permanent solution for students travelling to neighboring Goidhoo island for their education on a daily basis, councilors also stressed on the community’s requirement on upgrading the island’s harbor as well as the mosque.
Having listened to the councilors concerns, Solih had assured them that a solution will be reached as soon as discussions are held with relevant institutions to address the issues at hand.
