Councilors also noted some issues that require immediate solutions

The land reclamation project for Hirilandhoo island in Thaa atoll will proceed as planned, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has assured.

President Solih asserted this during a meeting that took place at the President’s Office on Thursday with council members of the island.

During the meeting, the council members briefed President Solih on the biggest requirements of the island residents. As such, the included the land reclamation project, need of harbor development as well as challenges surfacing for the health facility in the island as some major issues.

Councilors also noted some issues that require immediate solutions.

Listening to the concerns of the councilors, President Solih assured them that swift action will be taken for the development of the island after discussions are held with the line of ministries, especially the land reclamation project which the President said will proceed as planned.

Earlier, Solih had assured the people that no island will be left out of the government’s development agenda, and that progress will reach the entirety of the nation.
