BML launches self-service banking in Ungoofaaru island
Center will provide services round the clock
BML has thus far opened 40 self-service banking centers across Maldives

Bank of Maldives, the national bank has launched a round the clock self-service banking center with the opening of modern new branch premises in Ungoofaaru island of Raa atoll.

BML via a statement of Thursday revealed that the self-service banking facility will support locals and businesses in making their deposits, payments and transfers on a round-the-clock basis.

BML’s new investments focuses on expanding their services across all outlying islands that fits the modern era.

The inauguration ceremony was joined by the island residents, business owners, community leaders as well as customers. The bank’s board of directors had also held its board meeting for this month at the new branch in Ungoofaaru.

“We are delighted to support the community of Ungoofaaru with this beautiful new branch and Self- Service Banking Centre. Ungoofaaru is clearly a business and economic hub in this atoll and today’s investments will therefore not only benefit the people and businesses of this island but also those in neighboring islands” the statement cited BML’s Deputy CEO Aishath Nooradeen.

While BML has so far established 40 self-service banking centers across the country with a nationwide network of 37 branches across 20 atolls, the bank also has 100 ATMs, 5,300 point of sale merchants, 277 agents and a full suite of digital banking services.
