Three officers have been treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at the police station in Villingili of Gaafu Alif atoll.
The fire was reported at 11:35pm on Thursday, and a media official confirms that the fire originated at a distribution board, a component in the electricity supply in the premises.
The three officers were taken to the Gaafu Ali Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared there condition to be 'unserious'.
The fire had been quelled within an hour.
