President Solih concludes Thiladhunmathi tour, returns to Malé
His tour began from Hanimaadhoo in Haa Dhaal atoll on Sunday morning
He joined campaign events of many MDP candidates across the atoll

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and former President and government coalition leader Mohamed Nasheed have concluded their tour across Thiladhunmathi Atoll and returned to capital city Malé.

During the tour which began on Sunday morning, President Solih and Nasheed covered 13 islands in Haa Alif and Haa Dhaalu atolls.

Both leaders toured the atoll separately, with President Solih touring most islands in Haa Alif and some in Haa Dhaal and Nasheed touring islands in both Haa Dhaal and Haa Alif.

The Thiladhunmathi tour is to promote main ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s Agenda 19 and the party’s candidates for the upcoming Parliamentary Elections less than a week away.

President Solih began his trip in Hanimaadhoo and then travelled to Hoarafushi, Ihavandhoo, Utheemu, Dhidhdhoo, Kelaa and Filladhoo in Haa Alif atoll and Nolhivaranfaru and Kulhudhuffushi in Haa Dhaal atoll.

Nasheed visited Hanimaadhoo, Nolhivaram, Nellaidhoo, Kulhudhuffushi, Baarah in Haa Dhaal atoll and Kelaa, Muraidhoo, Ihavandhoo and Dhidhdhoo In Haa Alif atoll.

During all campaign events, President Solih had assured island communities that his government will not miss a single island in its development plan. He also urged the communities to help elect MDP candidates to the 19th tenure of Parliament in order to help the government fulfill its pledges to the people efficiently.

While the Parliamentary Election is less than a week away, there have been reports that the opposition is attempting to delay the elections, which President Solih said will not be given a chance.

President Solih and Nasheed joined several campaign events in the capital city upon their arrival.
