Council member of Kinolhas island in Raa atoll, Abdul Majeed Hassan has been found dead.

RaajjeMV understands that council member Majeed's body was discovered on Wednesday night.

Family is reported to have revealed that they had found Majeed lifeless on his bed when they had gone to call him for dinner.

Kinolhas council President Ahmed Hussain revealed that Majeed had not been suffering from any ailments and that he was at work earlier today. 

"He was in formal wear when he was found. He was an excellent member of the council," said Hussain.

Majeed had been serving his second term in office and is reported to have been living a healthy lifestyle.

Majeed is survived by three children.
