President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met with senior officers of the Maldives Police Service on Tuesday.
They include senior officers from various departments of the police service.
President Solih was accompanied by Minister of Home Affairs, Imran Abdulla.
The President had held an earlier meeting with officers of the police service after assuming office in November 2018.
This comes at a time the police service is working to bring reforms to the institution after acquiring public opinions on how amendments may be brought.
President Solih earlier said that while the police service is being reformed, the number of officers must also be increased.
He added that officers must be stationed in every single island and that all islands must have access to police services.
