Maldives Police Service (MPS) has confiscated drugs from the car of Member of Parliament for Inguraidhoo constituency, Ibrahim Falah.

Three expatriates were arrested following the operation in which police officers found rubber packets suspected to contain narcotic substances, from the trunk of his car.

Police media official, Chief Inspector Izmia Zahir refrained from revealing further details regarding the confiscation as the case is in the scene process.

She revealed that they will reveal further details once the investigation is completed.

Upon contacting him, MP Falah revealed that he has not received any information of such a case.

The car in which police confiscated drugs is registered under the MP’s name, RaajjeMV understands. Police has since questioned him regarding the drugs inside car.
