The Maldives had exported goods worth of MVR 264 million, the Maldives Customs Service (MCS) has said. 

The MCS said in their month-end statistics that the state exported MVR 228 million in the same period last year, an increase of 16 percent.

The state had garnered a total income of 254 million in February of last year, though the income for February this year is 240 million, a difference of five percent. 

Maldives has a low rate of production and most goods available in the country is imported; goods worth about 3.5 billion were imported in February this year.

Maldives imported goods worth MVR 3.8 billion in February last year, a difference of 10 percent.
