A motorcycle has caught fire while riding in capital city Malé on Thursday night.

RaajjeMV understands that the motorcycle had caught fire while it was being ridden, at around 7pm on Thursday.

By the time the Maldives Police Service could arrive at the scene, locals in the region had quelled the fire, sources report.

The motorcycle was heavily damaged by the time if was quelled.

RaajjeMV also understands that neither of the two individuals on the motorcycle at the time of the incident, had been injured.
