10 workers from Kandima Maldives and three from Per Aquum Niyama resorts are currently being treated at the hospital in Kudahuvadhoo island of Dhaalu atoll after showing symptoms of food poisoning, RaajjeMV has learnt.

While two more resort workers have been taken to the hospital for treatment following symptoms of food poisoning on Monday, Island Council President Ahmed Sham revealed that six resort workers had been brought for treatment on Sunday alone and that by the time midnight struck, the number had increased to 12.

He had abstained from revealing further details.

A reliable source told RaajjeMV that the resort workers from Kandima Maldives and Per Aquum Niyama resorts had shown symptoms of food poisoning and were receiving treatment at the atoll hospital.

Hospital Manager, Thohir Abdulla Rafiu revealed that their conditions are now stable and that although they had shown signs of food poisoning, test results did not prove that they had suffered from food poisoning particularly.
