Former President Abdulla Yameen has been taken back to prison on Thursday.
He was admitted at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for a second time on Monday. He was admitted under the recommendation of the prison doctor that he be treated at the cardiology ward.
RaajjeMV understands that Yameen was discharged from the hospital at 9:30 on Thursday morning.
While the ex-President has been detained for about three weeks, the court had ordered for him to be kept in detention for the remainder of his trial on a state money-laundering charge after the Prosecutor General (PG) office accused him of offering bribes to witnesses to change their testimonies.
He was first admitted for 24 hours on the 20th of February.
At a remand hearing held previously, the former President had complained of back pain that he has been receiving treatment for recently.
RaajjeMV also understands that the verdict hearing in his case had been scheduled at court for Thursday. However, the hearing was cancelled.
