The charge sheet against the four Gayoom siblings, brought forward by Rasheed Carpentry and Construction Pvt Ltd (RCC), has been changed. The charge sheet was amended Sunday morning.
RCC filed suit in Civil Court to recover MVR 2 million from siblings Dhunya, Yumna, Ghassaan and Faris Maumoon, for payment on good and services rendered.
Dhunya Maumoon, who had previously served as Foreign Minister, is now State Minister at Health Ministry. Yumna Maumoon previously served as Deputy Minister at Education Ministry, while Ghassaan Maumoon currently serves as State Minister at President’s Office. Faris Maumoon is the Member of Parliament for Dhiggaru Constituency. RCC is the company of father of former Defense Minister Mohamed Nazim and former MD of STO Adam Azim and father of Deputy Attorney General Ahmed Usham.
Raajje.mv understands that the charges were filed on the siblings as they had failed to pay MVR 2 million for the construction of a property on Chaandhanee magu. The property is jointly owned by the siblings.
