Maldives Reform Movement (MRM) has announced that they will be announcing their candidates for the Parliamentary Election, on the 6th of March.
MRM revealed that they will be fielding 24 candidates with the support of their leader and former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom.
Spokesperson Thamzeel Abdul Samad told the press on Wednesday that many members have expressed their interest to run for Parliament through the party and that they are currently working to register the party.
He further said that candidates will be addressed formal letters giving the party leaders consent and support for them to run for seats.
The ceremony to announce the candidates will be held in Dharubaaruge and all the ruling coalition leaders, as well as President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih have been invited.
Spokesperson Thamzeel further stated that all those interested in joining the party may fill out forms as the opportunity for membership has been opened.
