GOLD 100 Gala: Qasim wins Lifetime Achievement Award

Business tycoon Qasim at the GOLD 100 Gala awards
Founder and Chairman of "Villa Group", Qasim Ibrahim and Chairman of "Triple A" Abdulla Ali have won the Lifetime Achievement awards at the “GOLD 100 Gala” business awards held on Saturday night.
Awards were conferred to 100 companies selected among 13,000 leading business companies in the Maldives at the GOLD 100 Gala, the most prestigious business-networking awards in the nation and only one of its kind.
Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen was guest of honor at Paradise Island Resort.
The Maldives Investment Opportunities Guide was also launched during the ceremony.
The companies awarded the GOLD 100 title were listed in the GOLD 100 Magazine which was unveiled during the invitation-only ceremony.

This is the third edition of the networking event, which brings together top executives of the Maldives business community and is based on a list of leading 100 businesses in the country, publicized by Corporate Maldives annually.
Last year, the winners of the Lifetime Achievement Award were Former Vice President and Owner of the Bandos Maldives Resort, Mohamed Waheeduddin and Crown Company’s Director and one of its founders, Ahmed Nazeer.
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes visionary business leaders who contributed significantly to the business community.
The event’s platinum partner was Bank of Maldives this year as well, and the gold partners include Ooredoo Maldives, Allied, Qatar Airways, Hawks and Al Shaali Marine Maldives.
Cosmos Investment Advisors were the advisory consultant for criteria evaluation of the awards and the selection criterion for the award ensured full transparency and is not biased so as to reflect that the entities on the list are the Maldives top 100 companies.
