Ruling coalition partner Adhaalath Party (AP) has revealed that they will continue holding discussions with main ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) and that they will continue working together till the end.
AP’s Secretary General Ahmed Shareef stated that although there has been a difference of opinion within the ruling coalition partners of recent, the party’s candidates will continue to campaign peacefully with respect to one another.
SG Shareef went on to assure that they will continue to back President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih until the end of his tenure.
During a press conference held on Saturday, the party announced the candidates they will be fielding for the 19th tenure of Parliament, to begin in May.

- Hussain Saqeef for Vaikaradhoo constituency,
- Anara Naeem for Makunudhoo constituency,
- Ahmed Hussain for Inguraidhoo constituency,
- Ahmed Adeel for Kaashidhoo constituency,
- Ali Azim for Mahibadhoo constituency,
- Aishath Riyasa for Mulak constituency,
- Mussab Mohamed for Nilandhoo constituency and
- Ibrahim Zahir for Gadhdhoo constituency.
AP further revealed that the Elections Commission has accepted the forms of all their candidates and that their campaigns have also commenced.
