Maldives is in need of humanity, kindness, tolerance and respect for one another, says First Lady Fazna Ahmed.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the symposium on reviewing the national curriculum, which is included in President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s first-100-day pledges, on Saturday morning, First Lady Fazna stated that education is not only limited to the classrooms and schools, going on to advice attendees to prioritize instilling good values and principles in students.

Urging all educators to set positive examples for students through their everyday actions, the First Lady shed light on the importance of teaching students critical thinking as well as to question things from different perspectives.

Highlighting that the symposium will play an important role in bringing evocative change to the country through the incorporation of principle required to develop young people and citizens who can contribute to the progress of the nation, she appealed on all educators to provide a safe environment for all students.

Further, the First Lady urged attendees to understand the this is important to follow through with sincerity.
