A man in Maafaru island of Noonu atoll for fishing has died ‘suddenly’.

The police confirmed this to RaajjeMV late Saturday morning, with a Maafaru council member saying that the man is known to have a cardiovascular condition.

The man has been identified as 57-year-old Ali Rasheed.

Rasheed had been fishing 500 meters off the Maafaru island when the incident occurred.
