President Solih joins the run held in Gan - Presidents Office

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is set to take part in the “Zero Plastic Run”, an initiative by the Insight Consultancy Servies (ICS) that has been scheduled for Friday.

Aminath Inaan Ali, Senior Sales and Marketing Coordinator at ICS, revealed that President Solih’s cabinet ministers will also be joining the run that will be held from 7:30 to 10:30 on Friday morning.

According to ICS, the objective of the run is to educate the public on the dangers of plastic to the environment. The institute believes that this run will promote the eradication of single-use plastic, says ICS.

The President’s Office had terminated using single-use plastic on the 2nd of December 2018. Pushing state institutions and companies to abolish the use of single-use plastic is included in President’s Solih’s first 100-day-pledges.
