Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has announced that they will be holding their campaign launching ceremony for the upcoming Parliamentary Election on Friday night.

The gathering will be held at 9pm on Friday where tickets will be conferred to contestants who won the primary election and are up for the Parliamentary Election scheduled for 6 April.

The ruling party has asked all to join the campaign launching ceremony, which is the biggest activity the party is hosting since the inauguration of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s new government.

MDP held its primary election on the 18th of January. The party is to contest for all 86 seats in Parliament.

The remaining seat is for Nilandhoo island in Faafu atoll, for which none of the party members have applied.

Government Coalition Partner MDP has assigned Ahmed Shahid as the campaign manager for the party.
