Missing speedboat that Addu City Mayor Abdulla Sodig set off on for fishing, has been found.

The speedboat evidently set off for fishing early on Wednesday evening and had been reported missing after there was no contact from the boat since it set off,

It had set off at around 4:30pm on Wednesday and was reported missing at around 5:30am on Thursday.

MNDF, at around 7:40am, informed that it had made contact with speedboat.

It has since docked in Hithadhoo’s harbor.

MNDF had launched a search operation for the vessel via sea and air route. As such, helicopters had been active in the search operation.

When the MNDF was finally able to contact the boat, they were fishing a little outside of Gan region.
