Minor assaulted in Malé, police arrests suspect

The police have now arrested one suspect
A child, below the legal age of majority, has been assaulted on a public road in capital city Malé.
The Maldives Police Service confirms that the assault was carried out at about 12:00am on Saturday near the ‘Carnival’ grounds in Henveiru ward.
The child was taken to the ADK Hospital and admitted for treatment, although the police did not reveal the extent of the injuries.
The police have arrested a 21-year-old male in relation to the assault.
