Dhiraagu launches fiber broadband in Raa and Faafu atolls
Local telecommunications provider Dhiraagu has officially launched its high-speed fiber broadband service in Alifushi island in Raa atoll and Nilandhoo island in Faafu atoll.
The telecom provider is continuing to establish its fiber broadband services across the nation at a swift speed and has already covered 70% of the country since 2016. Dhiraagu has thus far provided "Fiber to the home" services to capital city Male', Villimale', Hulhumale' and 39 other islands, and ADSL services to all islands with a large population.
Fiber broadband is the latest and fastest internet service provider in the Maldives at a speed of 100mbps and their biggest allowance is a package of one terabyte.
The telecom company is currently providing services along with the introduction of a three-month-long promotion package which provides free installation of fiber connection and a 25% discount from monthly fees for fiber broadband connections.
Dhiraagu also launched DhiraaguTV services in Hoarafushi island in Haa Alif atoll and Hanimadhoo in Haa Dhaal atoll.
