A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Maldives and United Arab Emirates as part of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s current visit to UAE.
Maldives President is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Minister Shahid during his visit to the UAE.
The MoU was signed on establishing a joint cooperation committee between both countries.
It was signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid, on behalf of Maldives and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on behalf of UAE.

President Solih arrived in UAE on Monday morning, upon the invitation of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of Armed Forces of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During his visit he is to attend the Zayed Sustainability Awards Ceremony as well as take part in the inauguration of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
