Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has revealed the sudden death of Captain Mohamed Ramiz on Wednesday evening.
MNDF made the announcement via its official website on Wednesday evening.
According to the MNDF, Captain Ramiz was training at the Northern Area Post at the time of his sudden death. MNDF went on to detail that Ramiz, aged 48 when he passed, was running as part of the exercises being conducted in Maafilaafushi in Lhaviyani atoll. He had immediately been rushed to Naifaru Hospital for treatment.
Moreover, MNDF went on to say that they are working to bring Ramiz’s body to capital city Male’.
Captain Ramiz began his service in the police force on the 19th of August 1995 and has achieved a number of awards and medals throughout his career such as the medal for the 17th SAARC Summit, Disciplinary medal and medals for his services as well.
He had served in the post for 23 years, four months and 21 days and died on duty.
