Ambassador of Pakistan to the Maldives, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Waseem Akram has expressed the Pakistani government’s determination to work closely with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s administration.

Ambassador Akram stated this during a courtesy call paid on Maldives Vice President Faisal Naseem on Wednesday morning.

The Ambassador further shed light on the success of the medical camp held during 2018, expressing eagerness to organize a consecutive one this year.

At the meeting that took place in the President’s Office, VP Naseem expressed his gratitude to the government of Pakistan for the continued support and assistance to the Maldives.

Emphasizing the existing brotherly ties between Maldives and Pakistan, VP Naseem also reiterated hope that the “already strong bonds” between both countries will continue to bolster in the years ahead.

Ambassador Akram also reinstated mutual sentiments, going on to congratulate VP Naseem on the commencement of his term.

During the call the Ambassador and VP discussed ways to enhance cooperation between both countries on a range of bilateral issues, especially on areas of trade, education, sports and health.
