President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed full time members to the Employment Tribunal.

Mohamed Zahir and Mariyam Shamma Ibrahim were presented their letters of appointment at a ceremony held at the President’s Office on Tuesday morning.

Prior to being presented the letters, Zahir and Shamma took their oath of office which was administered by Criminal Court Chief Judge Ahmed Hailam.

The appointments were made in accordance with Act No. 2/2008  of the Employment Act.

Zahir has attained a Bachelor of Law from the University of London and Shamma has attained a Master of Business Administration from Villa College.

Shamma previously held posts in the Maldives Tourism Development Corporation Plc, Paradise Holiday Limited, Maldives Airports Company Limited and Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).
