Vice President Faisal Naseem and his family are to move into the Hilaaleege in capital city Malé within a week.
RaajjeMV understands that the government has been making preparations for the second family to move into the presidential residence, which are to be complete within the coming week.
A total of MVR 2.5 million has been budgeted for the residence’s expenses, while MVR 31.5 million has been budgeted for the Mulee’aage, where President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is residing.
The Hilaleege has been where vice presidents have resided since 2008, although President Abdulla Yameen resided there for the last two years of his presidency.
