The Maldives Police Service has launched an online portal to receive public feedback on the conduct of their officers.

Acting Commissioner of Policer, Mohamed Hameed, launched the portal at the ‘Iskandhar Koshi’ police base in capital city Malé on Wednesday.

Individuals can provide their feedback either in Dhivehi or English, and can choose to be identified or anonymous. There are eight categories provided, including police professionalism and progress of cases.

All feedback sent in before 15th February will be used to construct the police’s strategic action plan for the next year, Acting Commissioner Hameed said.

Establishing such a portal is part of the Maldives Police Service’s ‘reform program’, which it announced in December.
