President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has on Thursday inaugurated sanitation facilities in Hen’badhoo island of Noonu atoll.

The sanitation facilities were developed by the Champa Brothers Maldives, as a social responsibility initiative.

President Solih, in his address, reiterated commitment to his pledge to ensure that all Maldivians have access to sanitation facilities and clean water.

Solih arrived in Hen’badhoo late Thursday morning, as part of his ongoing trip to the region. Solih is to meet the island’s local government council as well.

As part of his ongoing trip, Solih visited the Dhuvaafaru island of Raa atoll, where the National Unity Day ceremony was held on Wednesday.

In Raa atoll, the president also visited Ungoofaaru island and met with their council on Wednesday.

Solih also visited his birth island of Hinnavaru in Lhaviyani atoll, going on to Naifaru island and visiting their council on Thursday morning.
